Welcome to the Town of Berry, Alabama

Message from Mayor Roy Dobbs

Mayor Roy DobbsIf you could ask yourself, “Why should I visit Berry?" As mayor I might offer a few excellent reasons.  Berry is a lovely quiet town. Incorporated in 1883, it is located 35 miles north of Tuscaloosa and 30 miles southwest of Jasper.  Berry spotlights a new civic center and walking trail in the center of town that is enjoyed by all.  Our school system is one of the best in the state.  Our residents have great civic pride and an enduring spirit for keeping our community first and foremost the best place to live in Alabama.

We have a “Heritage Brick Project” underway at our downtown park in which we will be placing commemorative bricks at our pavilion.   Very soon we will be in the midst of our downtown revitalization project.

This year we will showcase our lovely town with the “Berry Heritage Festival” on April 23rd and 24th.  We invite everyone to join us in a weekend of fun and fellowship.

Check out our website, then come visit us.  Become a permanent part of our family.
